Racquets Manager (Chiswick R923)

The Role:

  • Own all Racquets exercise experience delivery in club through junior and adult programme
  • To manage the department ensuring departmental revenue, profit and other performance targets are consistently achieved while supporting the wider business aims of the club as a ‘Head of’ member of the club leadership team
  • Stay abreast of the club’s sales figures on a daily basis. Ensure the net gain targets are achieved through working closely with the Head of Membership in supporting the sales process within the club.
  •  Implement and deliver club budgets.
  • Ensure that relevant necessary accounting procedures are followed within the club.
  • Ensure that relevant accounting information reaches the Finance Department by the agreed dates.
  • Maintain a positive, productive working relationship with other team members, being proactive, using your own initiative and taking ownership of situations
  • Deliver key in club and external Racquets events and experiences and work with club Product team on joint events
  • Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting the club and make appropriate recommendations regarding strategic and tactical approach
  • Work across club teams to drive powerful member experiences that are seamless both online and offline
  • To deliver exceptional customer service and respond to member feedback within 48 hours
  • To deliver exceptional Safety and pass audit criteria in your given areas
  • To recruit the industries best Racquets coaches, to be people centric and support your team with continuous development through 1-2-1’s, PDPs and class assessments (feedback)
  • Support club operations through Experience Leader responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Head of Exercise Experience and Head of Family Activities on all aspects of product across the club, product and fitness on succession development and growing pipeline of talent internally
  • Proactively take the lead on own professional development
  • Follow the company Health and Safety policies and ensure necessary duties carried out
  • Respond to emergency situations and injuries as appropriate

Qualifications and experience

  • Level 4 Senior Club coach
  • Level 5 Master club coach qualification (desirable)
  • Experience in managing high performing commercially successful racquets programme which include both juniors and adults
  • Experience of advanced people management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve challenging targets which includes the management of self-employed racquets coaches
  • Experience in coaching and developing team members
  • Experience in creating amazing member experiences
